Fixed angle rotor ( commonly known as angle rotor )

It is mainly used to separate particle samples with obvious difference in settling velocity. The distance for particles to move in the fan-shaped solution is very short, and the particles touching the outer wall slide along the pipe wall to the bottom of the pipe to form sediment, so the rotor can quickly collect the sediment.

Swing flat rotor ( commonly known as horizontal rotor )

It is mainly used for density gradient centrifugation of samples. The moving distance of the particles is long,and the samples are scattered radially away from the rotation in the centrifugal field instead of settling along mutually parallel paths. The particles collide with the outer wall and slide along the pipe wall to the bottom of the pipe, so convection also occurs.
